Nice post Esther! Have you actually traveled to each of these cities?!? If so, good for you! I’ve been living in Bordeaux for almost nine years and haven’t made it to them all, focusing on the sud-ouest. You popped up when researching Menton. Happy traveling and next time you make it to Bordeaux (which by the way has been gray and rainy all winter long, one definitely needs a rain coat and umbrella here), please give me a shout. I would love to meet up for a beverage!

Thanks so much for this – really helped us on our trip this month as we struggle to find any information. Just wanted to add an update, the Sasa trail will be privatised from 1st March 2024 so will cost 20 USD to use but this will get you a bed in a dorm lodge. UWA have created another trail from Bushiyi which we ascended and then we came down Sasa (3d2n in total) – Bushiyi seemed much better as it was mainly covered in the forest up to about 3500-4000m. UWA in Mbale can also arrange food shopping for 40,000 pp per day and although more expensive, we had some great meals. Lastly nights are cold so bring lots of warm clothes and make sure to wear sunscreen. Thanks again for your blog ☺️
